My Husband always looks and usually listens to the cuts (songs) that are offered on the product explanation page. The delivery time was great and the DVD was new, as promised.
I could give you a long review like the others for this album, but I wont bore you. This is a great cd and just to listen to it makes you understand how much crap is out their today compared to what wonderful sounding music is right here.Im 39 but came to hear Chad and Jeremy and Peter and Gordon a few years ago and was hooked. This is a great album.Chad and jeremy did not have a lot of albums so you have all their hits here.
Aside from that personal favorite, this is a compilation of the smooth, even, broad range of the duo, without a bad selection to be found. Most importantly to me, it contains the unheard-of "Teenage Failure". This CD truly has the best of all the things ever done by C&J. Amazing that two young guys could decide to get into the music game, put aside their studies, truly make the big time, enjoy success, then just as easily put it all behind them and proceed with their original career goals; Chad in acting and directing in Great Britain, and Jeremy in writing and producing in the Pacific Northwest. I have been looking for the name of the song and the artist for about 42 years now, but have not heard the song once in all that time, since it was charted on AM radio. (yeah, I'm old). INHO, they both had the talent to continue in music should they have decided to do so, and might still be appearing from time to time in Reno or Las Vegas, to the delight of all those who remember the first days of the British Invasion. This CD is a must buy.
Chad & Jeremy also have excellent diction and this enhances their ability to perform. "If I Loved You" also features Chad & Jeremy vocalizing passionately."Willow Weep For Me" is a beautiful ballad that stuns me with its beauty; Chad & Jeremy do this up right. Chad & Jeremy harmonize to perfection; and the musical arrangement works well with drums, strings and more. The Very Best of Chad & Jeremy is a great CD with eighteen solid numbers by this British duo; and the sound quality is excellent. Great.Overall, this fine CD is an excellent retrospective of Chad & Jeremy's artistry. Their interpretation is elegant and the strings do a lot for the musical arrangement.
"September In The Rain" features Chad & Jeremy doing a stunning cover of this classic ballad; and they never miss a beat.
"A Summer Song" is a beautiful number that is sure to put a smile on your face.
The electric guitars dominate the arrangement and the percussion works nicely, too."I Don't Wanna Lose You Baby" has a good beat to it that has that rock ballad flavor; and the album ends with "Teenage Failure." "Teenage Failure" may not have been their biggest hit but I think it's rather good anyway.
I really enjoyed listening to this album and the artwork is very nicely done. The CD starts with "A Summer Song;" this tune remains one of their best.
"Now And Forever" rocks harder and our fine duo sings this out well.
"From A Window" also has Chad & Jeremy harmonizing well; they sound so good together.
The unusual melody works much better than I thought it would--as a whole this song is rather good."Yesterday's Gone" rocks gently and this ballad has a Paul McCartney type of flavor to it; they sing well and the catchy melody is upbeat as the drums carry it well.
The chorus is good and they harmonize as well as they ever did.The liner notes come in the form of an eight page booklet about the career and the songs of Chad & Jeremy.
The album includes "Distant Shores;" "I Don't Want To Lose You Baby" as well as "Before and After." The sound is great and people just getting to know Chad & Jeremy will be thrilled with this CD.
For anyone who likes the 1960's style of sock rock and roll, this is a great CD.
